Superconductivity with Tc>130 K in HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8+x and HgBa2Ca3Cu4O10+x

Superconducting samples of the homologous mercury cuprate series HgBa2Can_1Cu„02„+2+A: with n = 3 and Ñ = 4 have been synthesized at high pressure and studied. Superconducting transition temperatures 7^=132 ë (É = 3) and 131 ë (Ñ = 4) have been obtained; these are the temperatures for the onset of the transition to the superconducting state in measurements of the magnetic susceptibility. The lattice constants of the compounds synthesized have been determined.
